The 60s featured a number of diverse fashion trends. It was a decade that broke tradition. Early in the decade, we saw culottes and the bikini in 1963, which was first featured in the movie Beach Party.

Mary Quant invented the mini-skirt/mini-dress, so popular in the late 1960s.

And now, as all fashion trends, we see some 60’s influence in shoe styles, coming around yet again. Big, bold buckles, shiny materials and fun colors. A perfect example is the Soho Heel from Cindy Says.

Remember the song from the Bangles?

All the old paintings on the tombs
They do the sand dance don’t you know
If they move too quick (oh whey oh)
They’re falling down like a domino
All the bazaar men by the Nile
They got the money on a bet
Gold crocodiles (oh whey oh)
They snap their teeth on your cigarette
Foreign types with the hookah pipes say
Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh

Now we can reminisce about the song — and wear one of the newest hottest shoes from Cindy Says.
