In preparing to go back to my hometown– East Orange,New Jersey, on Saturday to see my family that I haven’t seen in a while, nostalgia overwhelms me and inspired this post! I can’t wait to be thrown in the hustle and bustle, go shopping in Newark, learn the latest slang, and buy the latest kicks! I heard V.I.M has a sale. I’m addicted to retail!
Mmmm … fresh seafood and perhaps go to the Jersey shore! It’s definitely what I call a good time. Watching the Giants at the Meadowlands would be a treat, no matter what you think of the team!!
A vacation back is so overdue.
So, today, I purchased some pricey headphones by WeSC and think the world of them. They are of the Oboe line. They’re my precious new toy for workouts. Yes!!! Here they are with a set of heels and boots to remind me of the 80s, decade which I was born, and Jersey!

You gotta see all the styles in person. They’re amazing! Mine are like the pair below except their all accented in gold. Look it up for yourself. If you love music; believe me, these are stylish speakers that sit comfortably on your ear.
Flats taking me back!
Could you rock these flats with stirrups or leggings?! Or even a pair of boyfriend jeans would look nice for that glam-slouch look! I know someone is risky enough to put these with some fishnets and a really short, fringe skirt for a really retro look. I kind of like that idea! These are definitely flats with which you can do almost anything, matching it with your personal vibe.
The girlie 80s babe boot!
It’s colorful and suede. I’m wearing them with leggings and an oversized graphic shirt on a day for errands! It’ll be nice with all all black or pink straight leg jeans or skinnies! I feel like running the streets … with a quarter water. Those are little kool-aid juices, by the way!
Are you seldom reminded of home? What’s home to you? What reminds you of the time when you were born or raised, a time when things might have seem simpler? I encourage you, on this day, to embrace those sweet, familiar memories!
