Adjustable High Heels

There has been a lot of coverage in the press lately about the woman from Philadelphia who invented adjustable (convertible? collapsable?) high-heeled shoes: heels that convert to flats.
Call me crazy, but it seems to me that you’d also need to have the souls adjustable too, otherwise the “flats” would look more like clown shoes, with the toes pointing skyward. Am I missing something?

I agree. Was just discussing this with a lady friend. One would have to have a detachable heel and curved, rigid shank that would slide in and out of a slot in the bottom of the shoe when the hell was removed. Preferabley the heel and shank would be all one piece. I also thought a “attachable” heels instead of “detachable’.
