Buy Now, You’ll Thank Yourself Later

The New Year just kicked off, which means designers’ new spring shoe lines will trickle into stores impractically early while their old merchandise sits on “final clearance” sale racks. Use this time to buy sandals that you coveted, but couldn’t afford, three months ago. I know it’s hard to purchase sandals in the middle of winter, but you will thank me later. When the weather starts to turn and you are searching for the perfect pair of shoes to wear with your favorite sun dress, you will have to look no further than your closet. Waiting in the box will be that pair of unworn designer shoes that now, tweaked slightly or not at all, cost three times as much in stores.
After reading this, don’t blindly go out and purchase all the sandals you liked from summer or fall. Some are bound to go out of style! Instead, choose classic over trendy and pick styles that the designer seems to recycle every year. After taking my own advice, I have a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti sandals that I picked up online for under $200 that I just saw retailing for $450 in Saks 5th Avenue.
