I don’t think I picked a favorite Fall shoe trend until yesterday when I found the perfect peep-toe boot. Have you gotten with this trend yet? When the boots are paired with colored opaque or patterned tights, your ordinary outfit all of a sudden becomes extraordinary!

Gossip Girl: The Grandfather II

Yep, I tuned into Gossip Girl last night; it’s been a almost a month since I’ve been purposely missing this show for something better like Wii Fit, missed episodes of CSI Miami, or a night out.

It wasn’t so bad as the earlier episodes proved to be. Tripp made congressman due to his grandfather planting the right man in the right waters in front of the wrong camera.

Blair and Serena fell out and made up again. This is getting old. And has Leighton Meester gone Pop? Sighs**

Worth noting, I was impressed by the fab dress that adorned Serena! Here’s what she wore last night. And here are some shiny shoes to match.

A more scripted and powerful statement could have been depicted had Serena wore these shiny blue shoes just before dumping her sad PR project, Patrick! Don’t you think? A lil fashion foreshadowing, yes?!

Should’ve wore some blue shoes on Friday night, but I digress … that mistake has been corrected!

Are you a Real Housewives junkie? I am! I’ve recently watched the reunion for Real Housewives of Atlanta and decided that Kandi Burruss is the best dressed ‘housewife.’ What I’ve especially loved through the season were the harnessed waist belts, her one shoulder dresses, and the Christian Louboutin shoes she wore on the reunion show. And her hair … oh her hair is always fierce, color and cut! Hands down, she’s got the best style, and she didn’t need a clothing line to prove it! Check it out! What do you think?

Don’t Mess with the Shoe-Han

Lindsay Lohan’s mom–Dina Lohan is collaborating with NY-based shoe company–LoveMyShoes.Com on her very own shoe line. Dina says that new shoe line will consists of styles priced under 100 bucks, hoping the shoes will sell with a recession-proof price tag. Line is said to launch Spring 2010. The press, I believe, is calling it ‘Shoe-han,’ but this 300 mom is protecting all cubs, her daughters and new shoe line. She has pleaded with the press over her daughters’ reputations and denied that the new shoe line is even called ‘Shoe-han.’ Here are a few links to articles that I’ve found all about Dina Lohan’s alleged Shoehan!

Well did you catch this quote while Serena conversed with Tyra’s character–Ursula? What happened here? The show became guest appearance heavy with one guest appearance too many that made no sense–Hilary Duff. I love Hilary Duff, but where do we have room for the sweet, modest and innocent? Gossip Girl is slow to wrath, lukewarm. And I’m in need of some serious drama. Here’s the couch scene with Serena and Ursula. Furthermore, the red couch makes more of a statement. I’d like to have that couch at my place! Find that couch! STAT!

This leads to my favorite fashionista of the show–Serena. Seems like she interviewed with every fashion house in NY but failed to land something solid. She couldn’t trump the big Q of identity: “Who is Serena?” My poor S! Sure she’ll find herself soon! Love the career outfit!

This was the worst outfit of the bunch, starring Hilary Duff. However, I love the Heels!

Here are some Heels that could’ve taken Hilary Duff’s outfit to another level, perhaps on the fashion level of Serena. S stands for sultry!

Pour la Victoire Ynes Heel- I believe this literally means “for the victory.” Correct me if I’m wrong. Consequently, these heels trump the outfit! I also love that this heel is rose gold. It gives a 14k gleam. Don’t you think? Thumbs up!

This blog is dedicated to all the women out there who are plus size, plus size runway or just plus-size! When the pressures of weight comes from dear home and media, they still rise as stars and “do it wayyyy BIG.” If we can still applaud the skinny for squeezing in a mini, we can applaud those who endure all sorts and make powerful statements in our society! Here’s to Gabourey ‘Gabby’ Sidibe who will starr in ‘Precious,’ a film inspired by Sapphire’s novel “Push.”

‘Precious’ is a film about a overweight and illiterate 16 year old girl who endures abuse from her mother. Film will be released on Novemeber 6, 2009, just in time for the holidays! And it’s getting much buzz. Oprah and Tyler Perry are promoting this film with much gusto.

The media has already taken into account that Michelle Obama is one stylish First Lady! We know that she loves Designer Jason Wu, and the Inauguration 2009 served as a pivotal moment for the designer as she gleamed while dancing in the custom-made white dress.

But what the media almost never comments about is her shoe style. Michelle likes to keep it appropriate and simple. She doesn’t keep up with trends, but you can follow her outfits and find that she keeps a solid-colored heel or flat. Usually her heels are black and pointed, and her flats are normally rounded-squared. New York Magazine also spotted her walking her dog Bo in Pro Keds! I like that retro style, First Lady!
