It’s not too early to think of after work affairs. You’ve worked hard all week, and it’s about time that you live it up, after work, this Thursday. I found a couple cool cocktails for you to try this evening.
Italian Wedding Cake Martini- This is my all-time favorite at my all-time favorite restaurant–Brio–here in Charlotte. It’s sweet, and it has a kick of amaretto and pineapple.
Ingredients
- 2 fluid ounces vanilla vodka
- 1 fluid ounce cranberry juice
- 1 fluid ounce pineapple juice
- 1/2 fluid ounce amaretto(almond flavored liquor)
- 1/2 fluid ounce white creme de cacao
Lemon Drop Martini-This is our “Cosmo” because it’s so classic to my group of girlfriends. When in doubt, order a Lemon Drop Martini.
- 1 1/2 ounces vodka
- 1/2 ounce triple sec
- 1 teaspoon superfine sugar
- 3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Superfine sugar for dipping
- Twisted peel of lemon
- The vodka, triple sec, sugar and lemon juice go into an ice filled shaker.
All I can say is “I’m so ready to get off of work and enjoy good friends, good eats, and great cocktails. And it’s only 7 am. ” Hope you enjoy your day.
