This week’s Staff Style inspiration comes from our Marketing Director, Ellen. She is wearing the Dr Martens 1460 W – Green Smooth. Trendsetters unite in these boots by Dr Martens. This throwback style gets an update with it’s smooth green leather. The classic yellow stitching, cushioned soles and 1 1/2 inch block heel keep this look iconic. Ellen’s always super cool and laid back style is reflected in her office. She has bright colored accents and adorable little cats (she is a huge animal supporter and volunteer) all around to enlighten her surroundings. I love that she created a layered look (great for Fall’s transitional weather) and paired the Dr Martens with a simple black dress, neutral colored jacket and knee socks. Rock out!!

This week’s fierce staff style inspiration comes from none other than the fashionista herself, Marlisha! Our girl Marlisha is wearing the Palace in beige smooth by Fergie. The Palace showcases a soft beige man-made upper with gold-plated ankle strap, zipper and pointed toe. Last but certainly not least is a 4 1/2 inch stiletto heel. She’s rocking a gorgeous floral print blouse and dark cuffed denim to go make her ensemble with the Palace complete. Marlisha looks poised and oh-so sassy as she struts her stuff down our halls in these stunners. If you’re looking for a classic ankle strap pump, and elegant style, but you still want to dance, choose the Palace!
This week’s Staff Style inspiration comes from the beautiful Meghan, whom I work close with every day! Meghan’s newest addition to her wardrobe are the incredible Shellys London Burell’s. This statement making boot by Shellys London presents a supple black leather upper with cut out details and bold buckles. Delivering a lift is a subtle 2 1/2 inch block heel. I love how she mixed badass ankle boots with a feminine plaid top and flare skirt. Her bold style is so unique and fun; it makes me want to step out and try something new!
Another way to wear these fierce boots are to pair them with boyfriend jeans and a rockin’ leather jacket!
When I’m looking for fashion inspiration or just a really great pair of shoes, I look to our buyer, Emily. Not only does Emily have amazing taste, she knows what works on women! So I have asked Emily to choose her top five picks for Fall.
First up, we have the Claudette by Jessica Simpson. Emily loves the Claudette for its sophistication and class. It’s a great price point, easy to dress up or down, and extremely comfortable. She pairs them with boyfriend jeans and a plaid top for an effortless casual chic look.
Emily’s second pick is the beautiful suede over the knee boot, Cassie, by Kristin Cavallari. This style comes in black, ginger, and nude. This boot has a fantastic structure and doesn’t slide down during wear. The height of the boot hits at the right place of your leg and it’s overall a very sexy boot that looks good on most women! Emily wears the Cassie with a long tunic, with or without leggings.
Emily’s next choice is the yellow multi Surfice by Steve Madden. This is one of her favorites because she loves a pop of color and silver is considered the new neutral in the fashion world. The Surfice also comes in black and can be worn with a midi dress or boyfriend jeans.
The next stop on Emily’s Fall list is the Serinna by Aldo. She calls this ankle boot fun and innocent – plus super comfy! It comes in three colors: bordeaux, navy, and black. She pairs the Serinna’s with socks (mid or high) and a mini skirt for a very updated look.
Her final choice is the Freebird by Steven Lassp. Both colors, black/white and brown multi, are sold at a great price point for the amount of quality and creativity in the make of these boots. Emily pairs her Lassp’s with skinny jeans, making her basic denim look not so basic.
This week’s Staff Style is coming from me, wearing the super sleek Steven by Steve Madden Klick. This savvy Steven by Steve Madden boot features a black leather upper with strap detail and pointed toe. A stacked 4 inch block heel makes this style easy to wear and versatile. I love wearing my Klick’s with skirts, skinny cargo pants, and dark denim. Pair a thick sweater (blush tones are my favorite) and bold accessories with your look and you’re ready for date night or a day at the office!
This week’s Staff Style Inspiration comes from our ultra chic Buyer, Emily! Emily is wearing the Chinese Laundry Riley boot. This Chinese Laundry thigh-high boot presents a black suede upper with scuba fabric back. Sitting at 23 inches tall this look boasts a small 3/4 inch heel. I adore how glamorous Emily looks as she sits in her elegantly designed office – the view of Charlotte is UHHMAYZING and her style is always flawless! She pairs the Riley’s with a cute leopard sweater over a solid black shift dress & gold accessories. LOVE IT!
How many of you live in the city? Don’t you love it? I enjoy waking up every day feeling the energy and possibilities of this beloved city (Charlotte, NC). For those of you who don’t live in the city but want chic city style we’ve got you covered too!
It’s that time of year you start thinking about switching up your wardrobe to the super amazing Fall and Winter clothes you have (and the new ones you will buy). Recently, I started cleaning out my closet and to no surprise, had a ton of things I will never wear again. As I began sorting through my piles I realized some of my old sweaters and boots were in not so great condition but there’s really no need to get rid of them. I took the several pair of boots I have to my local shoe repair shop and got them cleaned up. You can dye your shoes there, get them polished, have sole replacements inserted, and lots more awesome things to make your boots feel like new! I was so excited after getting my shoes refurbished that I pulled out my jackets and sweaters I put away for the warmer seasons and got all of them dry cleaned. I feel like I have a new wardrobe!! #WINNING
You can freshen up most fabrics, suede’s, or leather’s.
This week’s Staff Style inspiration is from our newest employee, Lexis, and she is wearing the super adorable Promise ankle boot. This pair of DV by Dolce Vita heels will be by your side through any season! The Promise is created with rich black suede and zipper trim. This peep toe bootie delivers a low 4 inch block heel and playful fringe details. I love how gorgeous and lively Lexis looks pairing these fabulous booties with a soft, cozy cardigan and flowy dress! Unfortunately this pair is currently sold out but there are TONS of similar styles still available! Dolce Vita and DV by Dolce Vita styles sell quick – so hurry!
Fall is coming soon and you can’t avoid it any longer – neither can your closet. We suggest you start from the ground up. Here are some of our favorite styles to take you from running errands to pumpkin picking. Just add your favorite boyfriend jeans or leggings and an oversized sweater.
