“Did I just catch you on a walk of shame?” -Serena

Are we spiraling on this show? Or did we get new writers during the strike last year? I’m sad to say that I don’t feel like I’m watching the classic Gossip Girl. I didn’t hear the narrator speak a whole lot last night. She’s loosing her voice! Hah! And the characters all are doing their own thing!

Serena is all of sudden convinced that Carter is a match for her ‘bad girl’ ways. Not sure how this will turn out, since I thought she dissolved her evil half last season.

Georgina is still in the picture, but she used to serve as a foil character to Serena when Blair was busying herself with trifles. Her character also served as Serena’s scapegoat. I’m not sure what her constant presence will bring this season.

“The so-called “Scott” almost admitted to being Rufus’s son. That’s a dissapointment. I thought we were just heating up … This show is known for the ‘in-your-face-truths’ moment when the wrong thing happens at a pivotal time for any given character. Not enough conflict here!

It seems as if the writers are having a difficulty time controlling the characters’ motifs in various settings. With the characters developing all over New York, under different circumstances, and different rules, it’s hard to determine if we’re still watching the same classic characters that we’ve grown to love.

Having said that, Blair and Chuck are at it again, and this time, the rink is Sotheby’s for historical image. This leads to my favorite fashion scene.

There’s that hint of purple on his tie, Chuck’s fashion motif!
