I have two pairs of mary jane flat slides by Nine West. One is black, the other is bone. I’ll soon have to have a little funeral for the bone ones, and I’m very sad about it. Of course, they were also steeply discounted or else I wouldn’t have bought them both.

I absolutely understand this! Sometimes I’ve even bought 2 of the same colour for when the first pair get beyond repair!
