This week I was lucky enough to travel along with our buyer Emily Denby and the CEO of Heels.com, Eric McCoy, to meet with Aldo Group in Montréal, Quebec. I wanted to share the fun times with you. 😉
First of all, Montréal is an absolutely beautiful city. One of the loveliest things about Montréal is that it’s full of cool boutiques, European cafés , and super charming apartments above modern storefronts. It was a very interesting mix of European and American influence.
The best part? The Canadian hospitality. Our friend from Aldo and Brand Director of Aldo Product Services, Jonathan Frankel, showed us around town and treated us to some of the city’s best. Sadly, we only had just one morning to site-see and enjoy the local bites. After a yummy breakfast at St-Viateur Bagel and sipping the best espresso in town at Café Olimpico, we headed off to Aldo Group Headquarters. On the way, we took a ride up the mountainside of Mount Royal and saw breath-taking views of the entire city of Montréal. It was honestly like a dream!
Aldo’s Headquarters are equally stunning. We were in total awe of the entire facility. The trip was a blast and went by way too fast. (Rhyme much?) Anyway, we just can’t wait to work more with Aldo in the future… Truly a classy brand with an inspiring approach and philosophy. Crossing my fingers that I will get a chance to visit them again soon!
P.S. If you want to shop for the shoes that Emily and I wore on our trip: Emily rocked ShoeMint “Jordane” and I wore Jessica Simpson “Claudette”. We LOVE the different takes on the grey shoe trend. Shop grey shoes at Heels.com.
