When @HighHeels was recommeding blood red boots to @SookieBonTemps (via Twitter), I couldn’t help but think, “What shoes WOULD we recommend to Sookie?”

Miss Sookie Stackhouse (lead character of HBO’s vampire show, True Blood) is a woman after my own heart: a small town Louisiana girl who waits tables at a bar & falls in love with the wrong men. Namely, vampires. 

Sookie is always put in to interesting places and situations, so she needs great shoes that take her from the boudoir to the running through fields… all in blood red, of course.

Sookie could run, kick, fight, and bite in these gorgeous boots by Frye. With a low heel and Frye’s undisputed comfort, they would even serve her well from working a double at Merlotte’s to her misadventures in Texas.

We all know how much I love the Guess Borda Mary Jane, and I think Sookie would be on board with me. A delicious dark red to tease and taunt the locals at the vamp bar, Fangtasia, or for a nice night in with Bill.

With the hot days and warm nights, and long days at Merlotte’s, a comfortable, sweet pair of shoes that can take her from sunbathing to a casual date are exactly what Sookie needs. I can see this pair of cherry red flats by Report becoming a regular part of her wardrobe.
