If you’re anything like me, you’re always looking for a fantastic new site to get great brand-name clothes and accessories on the cheap. You can laugh, but I feel quite victorious when I can go into a high-end retailer and come out with something ultra-chic without charging through the grocery money (and car note and the electric bill – damn you, Kate Spade!). Of course, I am always looking for new and improved ways to feed my addiction without (insurmountable) buyer’s remorse. The economy is making more and more of us finagle our budgets to slip in the occasional guilty pleasure, I am happy to introduce you to my new favorite website (next to heels.com, of course), hautelook.com. Finally, there is an easy way to look like a fabulous celebrity on a flimsy paycheck.

Haute Look is a site that aggregates various sales onto one user interface so the fashion-frenzied people like us can go to one centralized location and get couture clothing, accessories, jewelry and even housewares for up to 75% off the retail price. The key is that Haute Look ships directly from the manufacturer, taking out that expensive middle man. (Where is that elusive “middle man” anyways? I have a few questions to ask him…prick.)

In addition to being incredibly simple to navigate, once you have signed up as a member, you get added values as well. Each sale has a timer, so if you need to wait until the next paycheck is direct deposited, you know how long you can spare. Each time a new sale is going to be added, members get an email with the designer’s background, description of products and a link to the sale. If you aren’t into one designer’s aesthetic, you can pass and just wait for the next email. Additionally, if you refer your friends and they make purchases on Haute Look, you get $20 towards future purchases on the site as well. Does it really get a lot better than that?

In just a few minutes perusing the site, I saw several well-made, funky bags marked down to half price…comfortable, yet adorable dress shirts for work marked down to $18! If I were you, I’d get over to Haute Look before I buy up all the cute stuff. You can thank me later.
