“Didn’t you have a pair of “jellies” when you were a kid?”
Ughhh, unfortunately I did. They got all dirty and soiled while on the playground, developing a yellow tint from the dirt. “Ewwww.” Then a new pair had to be purchased. Luckily, they were cheaper then in the 80s.
Well, now Chinese Laundry has reintroduced “jellies” into the 21st century. You know I’m all about new and recurring trends; however, I have to disagree openly about the “jellies.” I just don’t see the point. You want something clear? Go with mesh. It’s looks a whole lot better, keeps your feet ventilated, and attaches to leather or any man made fabric. Just stitch it, and the appearance is classier.
Furthermore, have you ever sweated in “jellies?” Your feet are suddenly glued to the bottom of your shoes. hahahaha. That’s atrocious in its own right. Guess what? A smell may develop shortly thereafter.
Hey, don’t let my jokes and childhood memories have you deterred from purchasing a fresh pair of inexpensive “jellies” especially from a brand that I respect–Chinese Laundry. See for yourself how useless these shoes are.
What do you style these with, anyway?
