With the Democratic Convention taking over Charlotte the same time as the nationwide Fashion’s Night Out, our city’s most stylish had to come up with a creative solution to celebrate fashion week. So last Thursday evening, a week after Fashion’s Night Out, the cream of the Queen City crop gathered to celebrate our own night full of fashion. The first annual Style Night Out brought together over thirty boutiques, stylists, salons and makeup artists to show off the best of Charlotte’s fashion scene. As well-dressed ladies and gentleman sipped cocktails on the sidelines, models strutted down the white runway in the season’s most wanted styles. Animal prints (snakeskin!), spikes and studs, leather, and prints abounded on the runway as show goers instagrammed, tweeted and live blogged their favorite looks. Couldn’t be there? No worries, heels.com brings the best of the runway right to you, along with the hottest styles of the season straight from the Queen City’s most stylish.

No matter your particular political leanings, you have to admit Mrs. O has a style that deserves the title “First Lady.” Can’t we all just vote her first lady of fashion? Michelle Obama never tried to fit the mold of First Lady in boring sheath dresses but stepped out in style wearing daring prints and of-the-moment designers. For her walkthrough at the Democratic National Convention here in Charlotte Tuesday afternoon, she wore a gorgeous Diane von Furstenberg printed frock with a pair of on trend cap toe pumps.

After months of preparation, delegates, politicians, and celebrities from around the country are descending upon the Queen City for the Democratic National Convention. Lucky for us, Heels.com headquarters is situated right in the midst of it all in Uptown Charlotte with a great view of all the action. Think fashion and politics don’t mix? Think again! With the focus on the First Lady’s style since her husband stepped into office, we can’t help but wonder what she will be wearing as she socializes and speaks at numerous Charlotte events this week. Whatever she wears, we can guarantee it will boast her party’s chic shade of signature blue. No matter your affiliation, you can add a little bit of blue to your wardrobe this season with these DNC inspired heels from Queen City shoe site heels.com.
