While January may seem a little early to be talking Spring fashions, the real spring style forecast has been months in the making. The fashion world is always working a season ahead (how exactly did you think those trends in fashion mags got published?) so while the leaves were just starting to change, sunny spring trends were making their way on the runway. One of the big trends that comes out of Fashion Week each season is Pantone’s color report, detailing the hottest hues for the upcoming season.
This Spring, Honeysuckle, a bold pink, came out above all the rest with Badgley Mischka, Peter Som, and Nanette Lepore featuring this cheery tone guaranteed to pull you out of your winter fashion rut.
This flattering fuchsia will work beautifully on all complexions and can be perfectly paired with any neutral, from shades of grey and black to nothing but nude. Or for an edgier appeal, play with combinations of honeysuckle and shades of olive green or punchy purples. Try one of these happy honeysuckle hued heels from heels.com to brighten up your Spring ensemble:

Hot or Not?

It’s no secret I am a classics kind of gal. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good trend every now and then, but for the most part I like to stick to the basics. Perhaps my day job for the government is busy stifling my creativity or maybe I just love clean lines and feminine details. Given that, I am undecided on whether these new styles from Beyonce’s Dereon line are uber hot or just not. What do you think about these funky boots?
These distressed denim knee high boots are reminiscent of Cindy Lauper in the 80’s. How would you wear these?
Is it a boot or a knee-high sock and pump? With a skirt you get a boot, with pants you get a pump!
This glossy number can add some shine to a dull ensemble. Another 80’s throwback with the look of a legwarmer. Try with a legging or knee length skirt to let these boots shine on their own.
