Marc Jacobs is an American fashion designer. He is the head designer for Marc Jacobs, as well as the diffusion line Marc by Marc Jacobs. Jacobs is also the creative director of the prestigious French design house Louis Vuitton.

He makes beautiful shoes.

Every wardrobe needs staples. Basic pieces you can mix and blend with others to complete your outfit. One staple is a shoe you can take to the office, after work, a party, school function, or any other place you can imagine.

Enter the flat. Perfect for oh so many occasions. They pair nicely with suits, skirts, dress pants ,and still look great under jeans. Not to mention they are comfortable! This will be a wardrobe staple in your closet for years, many years.

This classic Marc Jacobs flat is perfect.

Ahoy matey! Go ahead and don that boat neck striped fitted T-shirt, white capris, and rope belt. While you are on vacation (or this summer) dine al fresco with a chilled glass of Chablis and oysters on the half shell. Sit at that seaside cafe all afternoon and watch the boats glide by. Ahhhh the ocean… And when you are there consider wearing this fabulous sandal from Madeline called the Liza sandal.

You could also carry that nautical look into evening when you are strolling down the harbor town's cobblestone streets. A suggestion would be the Odina Heel from Guess. Shoe affectionado, Melissa O'Shoe, suggests coloring those tooties with the "Thrill of Brazil" from OPI- a great red and a red in sync with the marine theme. So may the fair weather and winds be with you!
