Hey high heel lovers!

For some reason, I really love infographics! If you’ve never heard of an infographic, you’ve probably seen one before. They are all over Pinterest and blogs nowadays. In case you don’t know what they are, infographics are visual aids that provide a fun and quick way to learn about any topic, with out heavy reading. If you happen to be a “pin head” (Pinterest-crazed person) like myself, than you have definitely seen one of these. {By the way, make sure you’re following us on Pinterest for more behind the scenes, deals, and contests!}

Anyway, I decided to make my own infographic about our favorite topic: high heels! I’m not a graphic designer… I just made this on Polyvore, but I’m happy with it! Also, I found some really entertaining facts about high heels to share with you! Without further ado:

1. U.S. women on average own 17 pairs of shoes.

2. High heels were first worn by men and were considered at status symbol among the European aristocracy in the 1600′s.

3. Women are on average taller and bigger than they were 60 years ago. In the 1950′s, the average women’s shoe size was 5.5. Today, the average women’s shoe size in the U.S. is 8.5!

4. French designer Roger Vivier is credited with inventing the first stiletto in 1954.

5. On average, women begin wearing high heels at the age of 12 and continue until the age of 63.

6. Women spend an average time of 40 hours and 30 minutes shoe shopping each year.
