There are three things I like about this shoe:
1. Satin. It’s a soft fabric with a eggshell sheen which means it gleams in the sunlight. Hah. There’s a high-shine side buckle that adds more luster to the overall shoe.
2. Caged effect is absolutely adorable; criss-cross straps allow for large and small cut-outs.
3. This sandal measures at 4 inches high. And I think most of us can walk in 4 inch heels. Something as simple as walking can become tricky in heels higher than 4 3/4 inches, in my opinion.
Without further delay, here’s my spring shoe pick.

Singing, “Shoe lovahs tramping all ovahhhh town in their vampyyy, suede shoesssss.” Yep, I just made that up, and I sung it in my karaoke voice! No matter what your voice or taste is for shoes, it’s important that you find your shoe-pitch!
Express yourself in soprano, high (heels) pitch!
Here is a possible gift that’ll do just that! (teehee)
Manolo Blahnik Drawings (at Amazon) – This book shows drawings divided into decades, from 1970s to 2000s. It has gray scale drawings and “circusy color” artwork! Also includes celebrity quotes about the designer. “He’s the godfather of shoes,” says Naomi Campbell. It’s $10.85 at Amazon!

Forget about the $765 price tag and how such a thick ankle strap won’t flatter your legs. Look at the color! The lime green satin is certainly a stretch for anyone’s wardrobe. Manolo Blahnik’s spring preview collection contains some outrageous prices with some equally outrageous designs. Here are the satin buckled sandals:

If you still want a funky shoe, I would suggest going for actual jewels rather than jewel tones. A shoe with jewel clusters can work surprisingly well with casual outfits and add the perfect splash of color to evening wear. Here’s a more practical and flattering model from Mr. Blahnik’s new collection ($645, Neiman Marcus):

Also, check out some wallet-friendly models at Heels.com which will give you the same bang – and color – for your buck:
The Corso Como flip flop comes in a fabulous shade of green, and while it’s a bit more casual than the Manolo Blahnik sandal, who wouldn’t want a great pair of shoes to wear every day? If you can’t get enough of jewels, check out the Hale Bob “April” slide. (Both shoes are available for $102.99 at Heels.com.)
