American Music Awards Recap

I hope all of you were watching the American Music Awards Sunday night. The AMA’s is such a fabulous event and one of my favorites! The celebs, the red carpet, the performances and the speeches… AH I love it all! I find so much inspiration from red carpet events because celebs take risks with their looks, from the dress, to shoes, to hair and nails. I also love that the next day you can do a quick Google search to find their beauty routine for that event. I have chosen a few of my fave celeb looks and a few shoe styles that would pair well with their gorgeous get ups. Enjoy!

Fashion and music collided on the Grammys red carpet last Sunday evening. Unlike many other red carpet events, the Grammys is a little less refined and a lot more let your hair down. From Beyonce and Jay Z’s opening performance (can we talk about Bey’s legs?!) and Pink’s flying acrobatics, the Grammys had me glued to the screen for the evening. And while you may be familiar with the dreaded mani-cam, this year Entertainment Tonight debuted a much better idea: the shoe cam! And while we’re talking about shoes, check out these Grammy inspired numbers from, perfect for all your events.

The Emmy’s red carpet was a bit mellow this season, with simple gowns in hues of cobalt, bordeaux and emerald taking the stage. Lena Dunham was a standout in a floral Prada gown while her friend Claire Danes kept it classic in an Armani Prive gown complete with a sequined bodice. But overall, it seemed most stars took the tried and true safe route. Try these simple and chic footwear choices reminiscent of this year’s subdued red carpet looks:
