Wow. Did anyone else think the judges were completely crazy this week? What was going on?! I couldn’t stand Ra’mon’s “winning design” … looks like I wasn’t the only one who thought this episode was absurdly bad. The middle three teams had my favorite outfits, except for this lovely number by the number 2 team:

Lifetime is starting to annoy me. The show itself is fine – I don’t mind disagreeing with the judges from time to time – but I’m getting frustrated watching these episodes. Lifetime is focusing too obviously on the losers. I know designers like Christopher and Shirin are less interesting – seeing as they are motivated, talented people without any obvious personality disorders – but I still would rather watch them speak intelligently about their designs than cringe as Logan makes catty comments and then produces an completely forgettable & mediocre design yet again. Lifetime, take a look at your popularity polls. Adjust screen time accordingly. Thank you.

It’s Labor Day weekend! How do you plan to spend it? Have a fun-filled family weekend ahead? Just want to kick up your heels and taking a break from the world for three glorious days? It’s sale season! There’s no better time to pick up shoes at fantastic prices, and I’m not going to lie- I’ve spent a bit of “personal time” on the Heels.com site recently. This line is always fun, flirty, fashion-forward, and affordable, so BCBGirls on sale is like a dream come true. Leda Knee Boot by BCBGirls in Tan. Very high boots are very in this fall. Accents like buckles are all the rage. The color is great. These Leda boots are a wonderful mix of stylish girlishness and weather-ready durability. The best part? On sale from $235 to $117! It doesn’t get much better than that.

A study just published by Columbia and Harvard shows that it’s better to indulge yourself every once in awhile with a big splurge than to always hold back.  Now that’s some advice I can take to heart!

They found that people who resist the urge to buy things regularly actually feel worse in the end than those who splurge on a major item every now and then.
