Wow. Did anyone else think the judges were completely crazy this week? What was going on?! I couldn’t stand Ra’mon’s “winning design” … looks like I wasn’t the only one who thought this episode was absurdly bad. The middle three teams had my favorite outfits, except for this lovely number by the number 2 team:

Lifetime is starting to annoy me. The show itself is fine – I don’t mind disagreeing with the judges from time to time – but I’m getting frustrated watching these episodes. Lifetime is focusing too obviously on the losers. I know designers like Christopher and Shirin are less interesting – seeing as they are motivated, talented people without any obvious personality disorders – but I still would rather watch them speak intelligently about their designs than cringe as Logan makes catty comments and then produces an completely forgettable & mediocre design yet again. Lifetime, take a look at your popularity polls. Adjust screen time accordingly. Thank you.
Anyways, several pairs of sandals from Heels.com inspired by the beach theme of last week’s episode!

Joan and David Natasha Gladiator in Bronze

Parian Sandal by Boutique 9 in Gold – I really like the Boutique 9 line and feel like it deserves more love! Also, these sandals are on sale from $109 to $69! Don’t you just love the end of summer?

One of the hottest shoe trends for this upcoming fall season is studs. And the more, the better. This trend is already hitting the market, so why not be ahead of the trend and buy it now? Unleash your inner biker chick and adorn your feet in studs. Here are my favorite studded shoes available at Heels.com right now.

The gold tone pyramid studs on these platforms from N.Y.L.A. make the shoe look rich, luxurious and sophisticated.

You don’t have to stick with basic black to show off your studs. These hot pink studded sandals from oh…DEER! are sure to make you the center of attention.

Done right, a pair of studded shoes can still be dressy enough for a fancy night out on the town. These sexy heels from Sam Edelman can be worn with any frilly party dress.
The days have been miserable, gray and blustery lately. I’m wearing rain boots, my hair is a mess, and I find myself sitting at my desk daydreaming about sunshine and sandals.
I can’t do much about the weather other than wait it out (here’s hoping it will all be worth is when those May flowers finally show up), but I can certainly do something about the sandals.
There’s no better way to brighten a dreary day than shoe shopping, especially for a few pairs perfect for spring and summer in sunny yellow hues. (If the sunshine can’t be in the sky, at least it can be on my feet–it’s a good way to combat the gray.)
Here are some great picks, all with low heels for summer evening strolling and sunshiny shades to elevate my mood in the meantime.

First is this fabulous fringed flat in suede, the Scarlet Flat by Chinese Laundry.

Next is a great woven yellow leather yellow wedge, the Cameron from Frye (my favorite purveyor of boots).

And here’s a thong with a two-inch cork wedge covered in yellow leather, Laplaya by Steve Madden.

And finally a real ray of sunshine in an embellished yellow leather gladiator with a zipper detail at the heel, Giada by Sam Edelman.
