Set in the 70’s — widowed Mom – 5 kids — they turn to music to help pay the bills.
The family lived in San Pueblo — a fictional town in California. Created by Bernard Slade, the series was inspired by and loosely based on The Cowsills, a real pop music family famous in the late Sixties.
David Cassidy — a teen idol. Long 70’s hair, silly love songs. Everything a teenage girl dreamed about.
The 70’s are back — in fashion! — doesn’t this very cool boot from Chinese Laundry remind you of the Partridge family bus??

Girls just want to have fun by Cyndi Lauper . . . fun facts!
This was Lauper’s first single as a solo artist. She released an album in 1981 as a member of the group Blue Angel.
The video, which ran constantly on MTV, featured wrestler Captain Lou Albano as Lauper’s father. It won the first ever award for Best Female Video at the 1984 Video Music Awards. Albano was also in her next video, “Tim After Time.”
This was a huge part of ’80s culture. Not only did the song became an anthem for female attitude, but it set fashion trends as the video showed Lauper wearing bright, outrageous clothes that looked like they came from a thrift store (they often did). It set the stage for artists like Madonna – independent women wearing cheap, yet fashionable clothes and who like to accessorize.
In 2004, Carnival Cruise Lines used this in a series of commercials.
