Does anyone else watch Project Runway? Because I do! I love being inspired by the fashion I see on the show, from Heidi Klum’s outfits to the designers’ creations, even down to what the designers themselves like to wear! This show is always chock-full of entertainment from start to finish.

What better way to shop for shoes on Heels.com than to be inspired by Project Runway designs?

I don’t always agree with the judges, but I have to say – this week was a no brainer. The challenge was to create a form-fitting outfit to show off the very pregnant Rebecca Romijn’s sexy figure, and designer Shirin’s lovely red creation – an elegant dress AND a fashion-forward lined jacket – had viewers and judges alike saying “I’d wear that even if I wasn’t pregnant!” Hey Shirin, where can I get that jacket?!

Of course, no outfit is complete without the right pair of heels, and here are my picks:

Sharp Red Shoes by Vince Camuto – If I wanted to put red heels with this dress, I’d want to go with a deep rich shade, and these Vince Camuto’s are just the thing. As a bonus, they’re on sale!

Blitz Pump by Fergie in magenta/plum – No question about it, I’m kind of in love with these heels by Fergie. The color is so attractive, and they’re strappily color-blocked, which would really make them interesting when paired with the (solid colored) dress.  Of course, if the color wasn’t quite right, you couldn’t go wrong with the same lovely heels in black: Blitz Pump by Fergie in black.

When it comes to footwear, it seems that everything stylish these days has a buckle on it. From wedges to 4 inch high heels, buckle closures going across the ankle or even at several parts across the foot are the way to go. Functional or not, the strapped- in aesthetic of the buckle provides an updated, sexy take on a pair of shoes. And we love them all — from oversized to delicate, rounded or square!

Inauguration Day is a day of many things for many different people. It can be your hope, your pride, your happiness, your acceptance or just the day we get a new President. No matter what kind of day you make January 20th, it’s still going to the day that President elect Barack Obama is sworn into be our 44th President. Where will you be when history is made in Washington D.C?

If you are lucky enough to have scored tickets to this monumental occasion, I am incredibly jealous! However, whether or not you are going to witness this history in the making via your own two eyes or via a camera, satellite and television, you should still look your All-American best! We have found some very patriotic and white house worthy duds for your feet.

Volunteering on January 20th might leave you stuck on your feet for long periods of time. That is why we highly recommend you pursue a flat shoe. Try this Sam Edelman Farrah Flat on for size. The royal blue patent leather and red stitching make you look like a real Uncle Sam!

There will surely be lots of after celebrations to ring in our new 44th President. Be sure that your footwear is as regal as the rest of your look. Go glam and sophisticated in these Lottie Maryjanes by Vince Camuto. The satiny finish and petite peep toe will gladly accompany any gown at this year’s ball.

However, if you’re looking for something to rival first lady taste, than we suggest this Daizy Heel by L.A.M.B. The taupe shade not only remains as a neutral and traditional color, but the buckle adds a little bit of professionalism we think. With that said, the 4 1/4 inch heel spices things up a bit in all that seriousness.
