With October comes fall weather, colorful leaves, cool breezes and Breast Cancer Awareness month. Evelyn Lauder, who passed away just last year from cancer, was the founder of the pink ribbon campaign that is so prevalent today in supporting breast cancer awareness and prevention. Given that over 200,000 cases of breast cancer are expected to occur in US women in 2010, it is likely that someone you know will be or has been affected by this deadly disease. Bring awareness to Breast Cancer research and prevention this month by rocking your pink high heels and reminding your friends and family to get their annual screenings. Early detection lowers the death risk associated with breast cancer and the likelihood of survival and remission.
